SSC (Staff Selection Commission) Programs

Staff Selection Commission is one such organization that recruits staff for various posts in the Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. Tara Institute offers classroom coaching programs for Graduation Level & Higher Secondary (10+2) Level SSC Exams.

CGLE (Graduate Level) Program

The SSC conducts the Combined Graduate Level Examination every year.
Posts which are included in SSC CGLE are Assistants in CSS, AFHQ, MEA etc, Inspectors in Central Excise/ Preventive Officer/ Income Tax, Inspector of Posts, Sub Inspector in CBI, Divisional Accountant, Auditors, UDC, etc.

PATTERN OF THE EXAMINATION
The examination is conducted in three phases/ tiers as indicated:
Phase 1- Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Phase 2- Written examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Phase 3- Personality Test/Interview/Computer Proficiency Test or Skill Test (wherever applicable).

COURSE DESCRIPTION
We majorly look towards the overall development of the candidate’s personality and mental skills. The candidates enrolled under this course are divided amongst the groups according to the Examination level they are supposed to give. Under this course program following topics are being covered according to the latest syllabus proposed by the SSC:
TIER 1

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning
  • General Awareness
  • Numerical Aptitude
  • English Comprehension

TIER 2

  • Arithmetical Ability
  • English Language & Comprehension
  • Statistics

TIER 3

  • Personality Development

HIGHLIGHTS OF COURSE
The Combined Graduate Level Examination majorly checks the general ability and mind skills of the candidate. We potentially develop them and sharpen them through:

DURATION OF COURSE
The course duration is of 3 months which includes 64 classes and 12 mock tests on every weekend.

WHO CAN JOIN

  • Candidate must be passed in the graduation or the final year candidates from a recognized university are allowed.
  • Candidate just needs to pass with passing marks.
  • Age of candidate must be between 18-27 years as on 1st August of the year.
  • Age relaxation is as per rules

COURSE COMMENCEMENT
The course starts in early January, April, July & October month of every year.


CHSL (Intermediate +2 Level) Program

The SSC conducts the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination every year.
Posts included in the schemes of this Examination are Data Entry Operator and Lower Divisional Clerk.

PATTERN OF EXAMINATION
The examination consists of:

  • Written Paper (Objective Type Paper)
  • Skill Test (According to the post applied for)

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Students enrolled under this course are majorly emphasized on the development of general awareness and aptitude along with the enhancement of the other skills required for the various posts. The course includes the following:

  • General Intelligence
  • English Language (Basic Knowledge)
  • Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill)
  • General Awareness
  • Skill Test for Data Entry Operator (Data Entry Speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer)
  • Typing Test for LDCs

HIGHLIGHTS OF COURSE
The Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination has been checking the general aptitude and basic knowledge of the candidate. It also emphasis on the various skills required for the posts mentioned under this examination. We achieve all this through the strategic planning accordingly:

  • Students those who have passed 12th from a recognizable board or the students who have passed graduation can also apply.
  • The age limit is between 18-27 years as on 1st August of the year.

COMENCEMENT OF CLASSES
The classes of the course are scheduled in the early January, April, July & October month of every year.


STENOGRAPHER EXAM Program

The SSC conducts the Stenographer Examination every year. Under the scheme of this exam the post of Stenographers (Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’) are selected.

PATTERN OF EXAMINATION
The stenographer examination is a two level examination as following:

  • Written Paper (Objective Multiple Choice questions)
  • Skill Test

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The SSC under Stenographer Examination generally check the general awareness of the candidate and its skills in Stenography. The course includes:

  • General Intelligence & Reasoning
  • General Awareness
  • Skill Development in Stenography

The Stenographer Examination has been checking the general aptitude and stenography skills of the candidate. We achieve all this through the strategic planning accordingly:

The course for this examination is of 2 months which includes 45 classes and 6 mock tests.

WHO CAN JOIN

  • Students who have passed their 12th from a recognized board
  • Student’s age must be between 18-27 years as on 1st August of that year.
  • OBC, SC/ST are given age relaxation of 3 and 5 years respectively.

COMENCEMENT OF CLASSES
The classes for Stenographer Examination start in the 1st week of January, April, July & October month of every year.
